Phase 3 of the Baylor/Methodist Community Health Fund is Under Way

Fund Overview
The Baylor/Methodist Community Health Fund (BMCHF) is an agreement between Baylor College of Medicine and The Methodist Hospital to directly support the medically underserved in the Greater Houston area through non-profit organizations whose funding priorities align with those of the founding institutions. The BMCHF is a $16 million fund administered by the Greater Houston Community Foundation at the direction of the BMCHF Committee. It is anticipated that funds will be dispersed over a five year period.

Application Process (Phase 3)
The Baylor Methodist Community Health Fund is now accepting grant applications for Phase 3 funding. Completed copies of the grant applications must be received by the Greater Houston Community Foundation at 4550 Post Oak Place, Suite 100, Houston, TX 77027 no later than 5:00 pm, Tuesday, September 2, 2008 to be considered.

An electronic copy of the grant application without attachments must also be sent electronically to BMCHF@ghcf.org.

Applicants can expect to receive notification of their funding status on or before January 30, 2009. Thank you for your interest.

2008 Grants Awarded
The BMCHF announced the following organizations were selected for funding in 2008. The BMCHF awarded 46 grants to organizations with diverse programs in the five funding prioritization categories.
